Businesses are experiencing rapid changes. How can they help their employees and their bottom line?

The business world is going through rapid changes with continuous low employee engagement, corporate and team restructures and role reduction measures ('right sizing' being the term of the moment) to improve their financial situation. This, combined with the high cost of living, and uncertainty about the stability of the world is making employees extremely anxious about their futures. And companies are suffering.

So, how can companies help?

The ongoing challenges of the 'Great Resignation' and 'Quiet Quitting' are still very much alive and the key topics of boardroom conversations. In response, it's incumbent upon management to adapt their approaches and engage with individuals on a deeper level. Recognising that each person has their own unique life and challenges they face, organisations must adapt and change their processes to support a healthy and productive workforce that can see them through their lean times, ready to embrace the economic upswing when it occurs.

This is where BG5 excels - it provides the tools and practical techniques that enable management to understand everyone's significant role within an organisation. By knowing an individual's unique Career Design, managers can identify the best fit for them within the company.

It also uncovers any missing elements in small teams that might affect productivity and impact the overall success of the organisation. When everyone's true potential is acknowledged and appreciated, it can transform the energy dynamics within companies.

Is your traditional recruitment process still serving, or is there a better way?

Imagine if businesses approached hiring from a completely different perspective. Instead of fitting people into pre-defined roles based on the historical job description, what if they focused on recognising their hidden talents and gifts? What if managers invited each individual to create their own role within the company?

This approach - which may be setting off alarm bells up for some (and conversely, inspiring others) may improve the bottom line AND foster true diversity as every member of the team would be acknowledged and celebrated based on their unique qualities rather than trying to conform to pre-defined descriptions. Are you open to that? Are you open to embracing a new way of working?....

Because quite honestly, the ways of the past no longer work. Traditionally, institutional systems have stifled individual expression and uniqueness. Employees are assigned pre-determined roles based on management's perception of what the business needs, but these roles often limit individuals. And those who dared to be different are often labeled troublemakers and let go. Yet, history has proven time and time again that it's those employees that often end up disrupting industries and economies....for the better!

We have all been part of environments driven by planning and control, where large organisations function without considering individual uniqueness. Did you know though, that when people are together in larger groups, characteristics are influenced and contributed to the group without conscious awareness? We may think we are in control, however the underlying mechanics within a group are what truly dictate success.

And here are another few problems: Statistics show that many people exaggerate their qualifications and pretend to know more in interviews just to secure a job. And other individuals possess untapped potential beyond their designated roles and simply require an opportunity to showcase their abilities, yet are often labelled as 'underperforming' because their true gifts are overlooked.

How many times have you applied for a job, knowing that you could bring so much more to the organisation if they could see your true capabilities?

How often have you had the chance to do the work you truly love, rather than being burdened with tasks outlined in a job description?

Many people are unaware of their full potential and need someone to recognise and draw out their skills and abilities. With a clear understanding of inherent capabilities, it becomes easier to receive coaching and develop the talents of employees within the company.

Unfortunately, many individuals go unseen in the current system. They are only evaluated based on their resumes or LinkedIn profiles, without being fully accessed, acknowledged, or validated. To fully include them, we need to shift our perspective.

With BG5, we can identify people's natural aptitudes and discern tasks that might be better suited to others. When individuals recognise their potential and receive support to express it, organisations benefit from a more diverse mix of competencies and higher productivity.

Forcing people into work they lack energy or interest in sets them up for burnout or failure. However, when people understand how their energy works and establish boundaries, they become more committed and engaged, leading to better health outcomes that positively impact the bottom line.

Ultimately, what matters most is fostering a climate of trust, mutual respect, and authenticity within teams. Google's Quest for the Perfect Team study found that successful teams shared these qualities.

Imagine working in an environment where your team can express themselves - showcasing their skills, gifts, and talents? When each bring their complete selves to the workplace, rather than compartmentalising their abilities.
